the face that launched a 1000 ships
 vs.
the face that launched 400 tomahawks

«Ave Imperator, morituri te salutant!»
 (credits heartbreaker vs. lawbreaker)

Musing: The slow-motion smashing of Syria drags on; we have an 'hiatus' while Obama waltzes with the US Congress, a dance of certain death. Even if the Congress, like the UK parliament, declines Obama's deadly embrace, and/or even if no 'coalition of the (cowardly/coerced) willing' can be formed, Obama's spokespersons have claimed that the US rogue-regime can (= will) 'go it alone.' Since the world seems to be fresh out of effective resistance to wickedness, the tomahawks seem certain to fly. There are more or less serious queries here; i.e. how many deaths will it take, to save Obama's face?

Thesis: That the alleged poison-gas attack was a false-flag event, by persons unknown, but likely to be US/Z 'secret services' themselves, or their proxies, outside-chance Saudi/Qatar ss/p-ditto.

An alternate thesis, pushed by the US/Z rogue regimes, that 'Assad did it' simply fails the giggle test – although of course, there's nothing at all funny about this latest exploit by the US/Z evil empire – so why the all the laughing by O-bomber?

Headlines; I've read these; you may too:

Article 1:
US 'backed plan to launch chemical weapon attack on Syria, blame it on Assad govt': Report, London, Jan 30
[ANI]

Comment: This *particular* item/occurrance could be true or not; the BIG thing is, any such would just be sooo easy to do. In fact, this report is tricky; the defence company involved a) admitted it had been hacked but b) disputed the eml-contents, sued a British paper and won. But still. More details here and here.

Article 2:
Large arms shipment reaches Syrian rebels: opposition
AMMAN | Sun Aug 25, 2013 7:43am EDT

[reuters/Amman]

Comment: Funny, that the arms arrived just at this time? Oh, coincidence, surely... "one of the biggest to reach them in their two-year-old uprising," and perfectly timed to capitalise on a massive tomahawk blitz?

Article 3:
US Planned Syrian Civilian Catastrophe Since 2007

Comment: The planning by imperials, for the rapine of the ME goes wa-a-ay back; continuous since before WW1.

Article 4:
US Military Intelligence behind the Chemical Attack in Syria?
Posted by: M. Klostermayr September 4, 2013 in Syria

[syrianews/Klostermayr]

Comment; Q1: What is most likely; suicidal Assad pointlessly killing his own people, or treacherous CIA/Mossad-type boy-scouts kindly volunteering to do it for him? Q2: Cui bono?

Article 5:
US and Britain Had Foreknowledge of Aug 21 False Flag ‘Chemical Attack’ in Syria; Did the White House Help Plan the Syrian Chemical Attack?
Posted on Sep 05, 2013 at 06:35

[WRH/21stcenturywire/globalresearch/Yossef Bodansky]

Comment: Is the Pope a Catholic? What, after all, do the Pentagon planners do all day, what do CIA covert-ops specialise in, what does nearly $1Trio a year pay for anyway? In it up to their bottom lips.

Quote:
«The extent of US foreknowledge of this provocation needs further investigation because available data puts the “horror” of the Barack Obama White House in a different and disturbing light.

On August 13-14, 2013, Western-sponsored opposition forces in Turkey started advance preparations for a major and irregular military surge. ...»

Comment: a) You bet, then b) note the dates. Just coincidence, again? Got any bread, Snowden? Now *that* would be a leak.

Article 6:
Three Major Flaws in the Official Case for Bombing Syria
Sep 8th, 2013 @ 11:00 pm

[antiwar/Christopher David]

Comment: Read one of 'em, all or none - your choice; but if only one, then #6. Keep this in mind (bbc):

«US officials have admitted they have no "irrefutable" evidence of Mr Assad's involvement in the August attack but say it common-sense that his government was responsible.»

And it's that same "common-sense" that says US should attack?

Ooops (intermezzo). The purpose of this blog-item was to explore the 'false flag' possibility, which IMHO is the highest probability scenario. But I've been overtaken a bit by events; here are some snips from:

Syria 'chemical weapons' crisis: LIVE UPDATES

12:08 GMT: US Secretary of State John Kerry has said that the Syrian President “could turn over every single bit of his chemical weapons to the international community” to avoid a military strike on the country.

14:16 GMT: Russia has urged Syria to put its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent destruction to avert a possible military strike.

15:43 GMT: Damascus welcomed Russia’s initiative, “based on the Syrian’s government care about the lives of our people and security of our country,” Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said.

17:54 GMT: State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the US has "serious and deep skepticism” about the statements from Russia and Syria.

17:59 GMT: Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken echoed Harf's statement indicating that the US will take a "hard look" at the Russian proposal.

Comment: Looks like a) Kerry may have spoken 'frivolously,' but b) the Russians have 'hopped,' and taken a strong initiative. The BBC item I cited above has some estimates on the difficulty of getting Obama's attack approved; could this be a clever way out for both sides? We'll have to wait and see.

End intermezzo.

Argument: The citations above take me hours to find, read, think about then assemble into some form of order. The profis have staffs and 'intel' depts - they would be expected to know everything, practically in 'real-time.' Specifically, any 'false-flag' must stand out - to the profis - like dog's balls. So why is it, that the US/Zs are still rampant, smashing country after country to steal resources, murdering for spoil, soil and/or oil - all *without* running into structured opposition? As I see it, there are two possibilities; a) any 'structured opposition' is intimidated into silence (hence my SQSHsO = snivelling quisling sycophantic hangers-on) or b) recall F+UK/NATO and Libya, actually themselves corrupt, and all in on 'the game.' Grrr! That they dare call murdering to steal 'a game!' Note that both (a) and (b) require psychopaths as perpetrators. And this is why we need the whistle-blower heroes.

Fazit: The US/Zs et al. *must* be stopped, else the result of tomahawks over Syria (then Iran, Russia, China) is expected to be similar to this:
