Live blog: America mourns school shooting victims

Posted December 15, 2012 23:16:03 | Updated December 16, 2012 01:31:47

Flags in the United States will be flown at half-mast until Tuesday in honour of the victims of a mass shooting in a small town in Connecticut.

Twenty school children and seven adults were killed when a gunman opened fire at the Newtown Sandy Hook primary school shortly after 9:30am Friday (local time).

Crowds of grieving residents of the town have held candlelight vigils and attended church services to remember the victims of the one of the worst mass shootings in American history.

Police investigators and medical experts are continuing their investigations and formally identify the victims - most of them aged between five and 10 years old.

Compare to 40,000 dead in Syria *so far* - due *largely* to US fomenting and US-supported insurgents including Al Qaeda, smuggled into Syria via Turkey - and homes and infrastructure in Syria being smashed like Libya was smashed.

Compare to "The bombs killed as many as 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki by the end of 1945 ...In both cities, the overwhelming majority of the dead were civilians." - due *100%* to US A-bombs.

Compare to 100s of 1000s, perhaps 1.4mio+ dead since 2003 in Iraq, perhaps 2.5mio+ overall since 1991 - due *100%* to US aggression + invasion = Nuremberg-class war crimes.

No comparison at all, really.

Report: 159 people killed in Syria: At least 159 people were killed in clashes between the Free Syrian Army and government forces over the past 24 hours in the country's different cities, "Al Jazeera" TV channel reported on Friday.

The US has about 12.5 times the population of Syria, and they go berserk when 27 get killed. Yeah, sure, 27 innocents incl. 20 children.

Yet due mainly to the US, 159 are killed in a single day, appr. the same every day, since Mar'11 = 159 * 12.5 = ~2000 US-per-capita equivalent *per day, every day*.

The entire 'Western' world yawns at the carnage in Syria, calling for the US to invade and kill even more Syrians. Where's the sense of proportionality? *WHERE IS JUSTICE?*

  2. The London-based Economist agreed and drew the conclusion that the only effective gun control is "no guns." For "having few guns means that few people get shot."

Me: So take the guns off *all* in the US - including army, navy & air force.

Then not just amerikans may be safer, but the rest of the world too - providing they also take the guns away from every Jew on the planet.

"I mean if Americans focus on their love for children, everyone's children and not just their own, they can, Rev. Dr. King Jr. said, end American violence at home as well as the violence America brings overseas in the name of freedom for "predatory investments." And the way to do this is for Americans to prosecute its crimes against humanity and let the indictments fall where they may."

Me: There can never be peace without justice.
