«Western officials familiar with the situation say that previous estimates on Iran’s Fordow enrichment site, underground near the major city of Qom, is a little more “underground” than anyone had anticipated, and that GBU-28 bunker-busters can’t destroy it.
Former Israeli Army Chief of Staff Dan Halutz, the only official quoted in the report, says that the site is totally immune from conventional attack and that “the only way to finish off Iran’s nuclear program is by using the nuclear option.”»

Musing: Nukes are useless for anything *but* deterrence. Proof = 1st Z-nuke used aggressively = world-wide, *total* condemnation, followed by very public de-legitimisation (not that they are legitimate in any way, operative = 'very public'); followed by the invitation to all current Israelis to *instantly & permanently quit Palestine*. BTW, framing suggests that we use 'Netanyahu' in preference to 'B***' (or any such 'baby' name) - doing the latter jumps into the madman's frame. And I mean Netanyahu = clinically deranged; looked truly frightening on the other evening's TV-news. But as I say; Netanyahu can't nuke, no matter how crazy he is - or even just looks. IF the "only-nuking" thing is true THEN it would be self-defeating for Zs to attack Iran, and there's nothing in it for Obama, given that Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya have gone badly, as will Syria – and Obama no longer needs Jewish Lobby dough. Recall Fallon ('No attack on Iran on my watch'); perhaps the only sane one in the US military?
